India is known for it's valiant warriors, magnificent kingdoms and great legends. I am fond of knowing history since childhood and this book really worked for me to know the vijayanagara and other empires in a detailed manner.

Hakka and Bukka - Dawn of the vijayanagara empire written by author Kamal Niranjan is an indian historical fiction about the sangama dynasty founded in 14th century by two brothers Harihara and Bukka Raya. 

The book begins with the rise of various kingdoms in 1290 C.E. where Kakatiyas and Yadavas were rulling at the same time. The book further talks about 14th century where many powerful kingdoms like Hoysala, Kampili, Madurai Sultanate, Bahmani Sultanate etc. rose and failed. To know about all these in detail you should read this amazing book. 

The book is well researched and i appreciate the author for this work. List of hindu kingdoms along with the names of the kings and successors, Sultanate dynasty list and various maps provided in the book made is easier to understand things and I gained a lot of knowledge while reading the same. I would recommend this book to everyone specially history lovers. Looking forward to read more such books.
